I planned this for my folks since last Spring… there is a big cat rescue in McKinney that is extremely photographer friendly, so I rented a 1.4x teleconverter (which actually wasn’t needed), and visited in June… spending the morning with Sugar, Sheba, Pookie, and Rocky. After much debate, and a little help from my fellow photographers at TPF making a final choice, I had this one printed on a 20×30 stretched canvas… it came out beautifully and I believe it was actually a surprise to my folks.

Some of the other images from the visit to Pug Mark Park are here.

And, on a side note.. the suprise to my son was absolute. He wanted a laptop, but we had him convinced that it was going to be a graduation gift, not a Christmas gift. But with some coordination from other family members as well, we pooled money and gave him a gift from everyone…. he never let it go yesterday.
