Sorry.. between haunted houses, headshots, and weddings.. I just don’t have the energy for a post today. I will get back to the daily tomorrow.

But it was all worth it.. the hours put in at the haunt and the website.. but the haunt is awesome. Had opening night last night for the three haunts, most dear to my heart is Chaos. Won’t be there tonight, though… got a wedding today.

As a photographer, I love to hear people’s reactions when they see pictures of themselves… and are surprised at how good they look. One of my favorite things to hear is “I don’t look good in photos” .. because invariably, it is not that they don’t look good, its that they’ve never found a photographer to shoot them correctly. This is even true with actors.

Case in point is this young actress (who told me I could use her original headshot as a “before” for this purpose)… I hardly recognized her when she walked in the door (all I had seen was the first shot).

This class will cover many of the basics of posing one or more people for portraits. While we will be using professional models for subjects, emphasis will be placed on how to pose real people as well as models. We will also cover lighting choices for different body types and looks.

Who will benefit from this class: Anyone who wants to shoot real people and learn how to pose them in order to make them look their best. (Some lighting techniques will be discussed, but this is not a lighting class.)

What you need for this class: A DSLR or SLR is highly recommended, but not required.

Experience Level: Novice to advanced
