On one of our road trips, we found this scene… the bluebonnets were actually growing up through a crack in the sidewalk in front of this post office..

I love seniors that bring along personal items… for Josh, it was his guitars.

This precious little one came in for headshots recently… absolute doll to work with, takes instructions amazingly well. Producers out there should hire this one.

I recently entered my first juried art show and I was notified this afternoon that the piece above, titled Gas $1.08 has been accepted into the show. Only about 20% of submitted work was accepted into this show, so it is a huge honor (not to mention really exciting).
This image is printed on a fine art metal medium available from my pro lab. The printing process starts with a layer of white ink to the surface of a 1”-deep brushed aluminum box. The image is then printed on top of the white base coat. It really is a beautiful process and makes this art piece really shine.
There is an artists’ reception this Friday night that is open to the public, feel free to drop by!
Visual Image Fine Art Publishing invites you to the Reception to view the work on exhibit this month.

Visual Image is fairly easy to find. Take Midway to Proton. Proton is a light there and is north of Spring Valley and south of Beltline. If you turn east on Proton from Midway and look right, there is a building at that corner. OK Paper is in the front of the building and Visual Image is at the back – and it faces Proton.
Hope to see you there!
This is Melissa, a talented young lady who came to me for headshots recently. Great kid.. watch for this one in the future.

Photography info: Natural light, open shade, with a Vivtar 285HV in a brolly box to camera left for fill. Strobist style.

Its been so beautiful here lately, we’ve started looking for potential bluebonnet locations (I’ve got a bluebonnet mini-session special that I’m starting to book, contact me for more details.)
Found this barn on our wanderings.. still in use, of course.. I think they get used until they fall over.
